Roxanne Khamsi at the NewScientist.com reports on a study that shows coffee makes you more open to persuasion based on upon its ability to enhance cognitive performance. The research demonstrated that coffee was effective not because it enhanced mood, but because it increased mental function.

Dosing potential clients with two cups of coffee, 40 minutes prior to a business meeting may suit your particular needs. On the other hand you may want to put down that grande latte while listening to your broker's pitch for the latest baldness curing, micro-cap biotech stock.
